Riccardo Biemmi

Founder, Instructor

Riccardo has been standing in front of students since 2002 and guides tango dancers since 2012, after attending Academia TangoPuro® Master Program and getting the green light to teach from the founder, Alejandro Angelica. A decade on the violin and a music-theory diploma from the Livorno Conservatory add on his ear for phrasing and rhythm.

He took his first tango steps in 2008 with Argentine maestro Alejandro Ferrante, then refined his dance under Luca Napoli and Angelica at Academia TangoPuro®, seasoning it further through the years in workshops with masters such as Gustavo Naveira, Carlos Espinoza, Julio Balmaceda, Alberto Colombo and Carlos Roldán.

When he’s not teaching, he’s often DJing. Since 2015, his beat-first, melody-minded sets have won praise at milongas and marathons across Europe and Southeast Asia, each tanda built on the fly by reading the room rather than leaning on canned playlists.

On stage, Riccardo debuted in 2012 at Milan’s Teatro Smeraldo (Tango che Follia), bringing his acting‑and‑dancing mix to the National Theatre of Milan in Aprititango the following year, also appearing at Milano Danza Expo show, alongside Ernesto Candal and Miguel Ángel Zotto.

Today he brings the TangoTouch proven approach to Singapore, offering a learning experience that fuses clear biomechanics, pure improvisation and musical sensitivity into fun and pithy classes. He also helps seasoned dancers to further explore their musicality journey through advanced labs, seminars and intensive workshops.
